I wanted to grow my clematis up the deck post, but I didnt want to have to build a trellis or put ugly chicken wire around the pole.
This simple roll of plastic mesh, wood blocks, screws and zip ties solved the problem. It was less expensive than a metal trellis or wood panel, easier to install than wire, and it wont show at all once the clematis fills in. The plastic mesh is thicker than I expected, but the vines tendrils easily twist around it. The blocks were pre-drilled so it was easy to install. I think it would work very well on a downspout also, which is its intended use. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to grow a clematis or other fine vine up a pole or spout. Bonus...it is made in the USA! Simply great solution! Mary V
